Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of medical record coding training programs. Conducts training sessions both in person and through webinars.
1.Conducts training sessions through blended approaches such as instructor lead classroom training, Q&A sessions, side-by-side support, and webinars.
2.Requests access for new employees, maintains employee access and troubleshoots Medcial Record coding applications.
3.Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of medical record coding Center training programs. Reviews project curriculum content and sequence across all disciplines.
4.Compiles and utilizes related material and supportive documents to enhance teaching sessions.
5.Assists in developing training materials, reference guides, and job aids.
6.Partners with management in review of curriculum, schedule and program needs (supplies, staffing, tools, etc.).
7.Conducts training session surveys to gather feedback to improve future training. Makes recommendations for improvement to management.
8.Reports on outcomes of all training sessions.
9.Assists in all aspects of the logistics surrounding training. Ensures rooms and materials are available for training sessions.
10. Performs related duties, as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field, required. Masters degree, preferred.
Minimum three (3) years related training experience, including medical record coding experience, required.
Current certification in Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) OR Certified Professional Coder (CPC) OR Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) OR Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification, required.
Demonstrated presentation, training, and interpersonal skills, required.
Ability to work as a coach and mentor to others, required.
