JOB SUMMARY: The Material handler performs a range of duties related to the receiving, storing, movement, and order pulling of product and materials in a timely and accurate manner according to day-to-day schedule adherence of the site within Safety & Quality standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Under the direction of the Warehouse Leader, performs a wide range of duties related to the receiving, storing, movement, and order pulling of product and materials in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for training and retraining employees on equipment (forklift, tuggers, etc.) • Uses computer system and PC to make inquiries and track availability of inventory. • Work is performed within a warehousing environment and in support of production operations using forklift and pallet-jack equipment. • Prepares shipping documents and audits incoming material against receiving documents. • Performs shrink-wrap operations and assist in maintaining clean environment. • Must be proficient in forklift operation (certification a must). • Must have prior shipping and receiving experience in high SKU environment handling multi-site distributing according to product and customer specification in accordance with Customs Rules and Regulations, a familiarity with scanning equipment and data entry • Maintain high level of cleanliness and order through work areas according to 5s standards. • Practice all Health and Safety procedures, policies and practices. • Other duties may be assigned and not all duties listed might be assigned. EDUCATION: • High School Degree/GED is required.

EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 1-3 years related operator experience is preferred. SKILLS: • Must be able to communicate effectively • Basic math skills and attention to detail. • Sense of urgency. • Requires frequent lifting of 60 lbs. department to ensure finished goods meet specifications. • Good Attendance and Accountability. • Computer literate must be able to read and write in English to complete reports. • Demonstrated proficiency PC functions including Microsoft office and Windows. • High level of organizational skills. Logs, checklists and inspections records must be maintained orderly and legible. • Promotes a positive attitude towards Safety. • Capacity to work independently as well as within a team-oriented and collaborative environment. • Availability to work overtime and off shifts when required. • Ability to promote a professional work environment with a focus on respect and trust. • Good Knowledge of Company Safety policies and procedures. • Must have excellent follow-up skills in order to thoroughly complete assigned tasks.
