Position Summary

Responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs within a healthcare setting, utilizing instructional design principles to create effective learning materials and experiences for healthcare professionals, often collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance to clinical practice; key duties include needs analysis, curriculum development, designing eLearning modules, facilitating training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs to identify areas for improvement and competency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain subject matter expertise (SME) in all systems utilized within practice operations (i.e. EMR) and work with other SMEs to identify the audience's training needs, define learning objectives and develop course content & materials.
  • Leverage expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design models, and best practices for creating effective learning experiences.
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other tools/modalities to design and develop live training, online learning modules, training guides, and supporting training materials for employees;
  • Manage training delivery, track progress, and provide accessible learning experiences.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training curricula aligned with healthcare regulations and best practices, including new hire orientation, continuing education, and clinical skills training.
  • Develops, delivers and maintains engaging training materials across various modalities and learning management systems, focusing on both efficiency and safety.
  • Facilitate employees' acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner across a variety of specific and general business topics via instructor-led training sessions, virtual training sessions, and blended learning programs, adapting delivery methods to different learner needs.
  • Ensure operational needs are being met through appropriate training of clinical and clerical staff with the goal of ensuring efficient, standardized workflows across the enterprise, while providing high- quality care for our patients.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of healthcare staff training needs to identify knowledge gaps, skill deficiencies, and compliance requirements.
  • Create assessments (knowledge checks, skills demonstrations, case studies) to evaluate learner comprehension and competency development.
  • Monitor training effectiveness by collecting feedback from learners and stakeholders, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and update training materials accordingly.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to practice level trainers and staff.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and colleagues in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork to further support the mission, vision and values of Allergy & ENT Associates.
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously, achieving established performance goals, meeting deadlines and adhering to budgets.
  • Serve as a role model and go-to resource for clinic staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of practice operations- EMR and other systems, workflows, and policies and procedures to effectively maintain and deliver training.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service; the ability to demonstrate a series of activities designed to enhance the level of both internal and external stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Responsible for training hubs and ensuring that training equipment and materials meet trainee needs
  • Regularly assess and identify the educational needs of staff and arrange in-service training accordingly.
  • Educational resource for clinical team leads, front office coordinators and leadership, ensuring adherence to quality standards, compliance, and efficiency in patient care.
  • Identify and recommend policies and procedures as needed to ensure quality, compliance, accuracy, and cost efficiency as pertaining to patient care needs at clinic locations.
  • Ensures training and compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Continues professional self-development and continuing education classes as defined.
  • Travel to practices and markets throughout enterprise as needed for specialized training/assessment.
  • May perform specific Job Activities as assigned/directed by leadership.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Current RN or LVN License Preferred
  • Required:2+ years of direct Healthcare Training experience
  • Knowledge & application of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and best practices for creating effective learning experiences
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools, video editing software, and other learning content tools. Experience with SCORM standards & program calls a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology, clinical procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging training materials, including scripts, storyboards, and eLearning content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present and deliver content to adult learners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Suites (Office/Office 365)
  • Experience in practice management systems, electronic medical record systems and other clinical platforms leveraged in the healthcare setting. NextGen experience a plus
