We are hiring a Traffic Signal Specialist to support our Mid-Atlantic traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) practice. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with traffic signal timing and operations projects. Travel to a project site in Smyrna, Delaware will be required 50% of the time.
Job responsibilities may include:
Traffic signal design.
Timing and operations of traffic signals and signal systems.
Field visits and evaluation of signalized intersections across the state of Delaware.
Preparation of transportation reports and plans based on project analyses and assessments.
Coordination and attendance at project meetings with clients, engineers, planners and transportation system users.
Traffic data analysis, field data collection, and study preparation to support decisions on transportation systems, policies, and standards.
Project support in the delivery of technical and analytical services, including plan and specification preparation, data analysis, and research.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in traffic/ITS engineering including traffic signal operations and traffic signal timing plan development.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software, such as word, excel, power point.
Synchro/Highway Capacity Software (HCS) experience required.
Must have demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with a team to meet project schedule and design challenges.
Experience with Siemens TACTICS traffic management software preferred, but not required.
