Timely submission of reports
Planning and managing the department work to meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Monthly reporting of all KPIs, bonuses, and other client-driven reports (presentations at times)
Bi-weekly Road inspections to ensure the cleanliness of the E-470 roadway
Organization and implementation of quarterly safety and performance meetings with the Road Management Group
Performing personnel management duties including supervising, development of training, hiring, disciplinary action, counseling, performance evaluations, recommending transfer and promotions
Developing, implementing, enforcing, and interpreting departmental standard operating procedures as required
Maintaining a high level of staff competence through continuous training programs
Ensuring organizational policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for staff, stakeholders, and the public
Responsibility for the maintenance, ordering, invoicing, and inventory of all company-provided equipment
Managing Lean Six Sigma projects
Overseeing the Road Management Assistant Department Manager staff development, attendance, corrective action tracking, and documentation of staff incidents
Annually re-evaluate department standards for bonus levels
Maintaining close communications and coordination with internal and external contacts such as Traffic Management teams, Colorado Safety Patrol, and other vendors.
Coordinating with other department managers on all issues related to Department processes
Periodically perform presentations at various conferences such as IBTTA and Board Meetings
Serving on various internal working groups to develop process improvement initiatives
Serving as the point of contact for policy/personnel questions and issues within the Road Management department
Production of yearly Crash Analysis Reports
Approving all Department time sheets weekly and bonus data monthly
Responsibility for meeting all contract performance criteria for the Road Management Department
Performing various administrative duties, including filing and handling deliveries as required
Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures
Performing various projects and duties as assigned by the Program Manager and the E-470 client
May be reassigned on a long-term or temporary basis to another location, other shifts, or other schedules, for coverage and meet the needs of the company
Participation in a rotating incident management on-call schedule for one week at a time.
Ability to function as an on-scene or remote Incident Commander in both Single Incident Command and Unified Command structures.

Proven ability to provide strong leadership with expertise in employee motivation, conflict resolution, and employee retention
Experience managing employees, training/coaching staff

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with many different levels of employees
Ability to provide excellent customer service skills to all customers and clients and to share these skills with employees
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Client management experience preferred
Superior computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
Ability to work alternate work schedules and be on call 24 hours/day as appropriate to manage a 24/7/365 operation
Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions
Tour road weekly for assessment of work performed and work required to be performed.
Set aside time each week to provide roadside litter assistance support
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver License and legally operate a motor vehicle
Experience with scheduling labor and vehicle utilization in a 24/7 operation
Experience with 800 MHz digital radio systems
Understanding of CCTV and Variable Message Sign Operations
Mastery of Regional Traffic Management and Traffic Incident Management to include concepts such as queue management, advance warning, quick clearance, and utilization of detour routes
Understanding of HAZMAT response procedures
Knowledge of MUTCD standards of Variable Message Sign formatting, Temporary Traffic Control, and Incident Work Areas
Understanding of how to use tools such as impact wrenches, hydraulic jacks, air compressors, push bumpers, basic hand tools, etc.
Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance procedures and basic vehicle towing/recovery operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Operations management experience in a 24/7 Traffic Management Center, 911 center, emergency services center, or similar experience
Experience with Safety Service Patrol programs or concepts
High school Diploma or GED equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred
Development and implementation of standard operation procedures
National TIM Responder Training Program Completion Certificate certified - preferred
Knowledge of tolling operations preferred
Experience with Public Safety Emergency Operations - preferred

WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
