Traffic Clerk II verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepares
shipping orders and bills of lading to maintain shipping schedules by performing the following duties.
Verifies information regarding incoming and outgoing shipments including bills of lading, invoices, shipping orders, and other records.
Prepares and distributes all documents required to meet shipping schedules.
Determines appropriate carrier and methods of shipment based on product unit size, destination, and cost efficiency.
Communicates with management, Customer Service Representatives, and other personnel regarding freight charges, the status of shipments and details related to shipping processes and schedules.
Maintains and updates files and order acknowledgments.
Other duties may be assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); require, Associate Degree or equivalent, preferred plus two years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
