As a Trading Specialist on the Custodian Trading team, you'll play a pivotal role by trading our firm managed models and assets of over $55 billion. This individual will also partner with our 350 Financial Planners to help our clients achieve their financial goals.

In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team's existing talents. For this Trading Specialist role, we need someone with strong communication skills and a knack for problem solving to help advance and continuously improve and accelerate our focus on innovative, best-in-class service.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all trade requests within the defined service level standard

• Respond to trading related inquiries from Planning Teams in a timely and professional manner

• Process trade instructions and run system recommended portfolio rebalances

• Review proposed trades for accuracy, submit to custodians for execution, and monitor trade status and allocations

• Process trade error corrections

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of Financial Services or Operations experience required

• Proficiency in Excel required

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills

• Highly organized and excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and react to change in a productive manner

Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $53,850 - $71,800. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
