About the position: Altruist is entering an exciting phase, and we're looking for a Trading Operations Specialist to join our Trading & Execution Services team. The Trading Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the trading desk, coordinating activities, and ensuring efficient execution of trades while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with a team of trading operations specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure team success and adherence to established procedures

  • Coordinate trading activities, including trade execution, and reporting to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions

Monitor trade flows, troubleshoot issues, and escalate unresolved issues to management or relevant stakeholders as needed

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Advisor Services and other internal teams to facilitate smooth execution of trades and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies

Develop and implement process improvements, automation initiatives and best practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability of trading operations

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards, and participate in audits and regulatory examinations as necessary

  • Stay informed about market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting trading operations, and communicate relevant information to team members and stakeholders

What you'll bring:

  • Series 7 and 63 License

  • Bachelor's degree - preference for finance, business, accounting, or a related field

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in trading operations or a related role, with a strong understanding of financial markets, trading processes, and back-office operations

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in trading systems, order management systems, and Excel

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Fixed Income trading

  • Experience with Bloomberg terminal or other financial software

Dallas, TX salary range

$79,000-$107,000 USD

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs). A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
