Job Responsibilities
Performs complex installation, maintenance and repairs on electrical circuitry and HVAC units. Initiates preventative maintenance, recommends improvements to increase the efficiency of the department.
Performs high level trade skills in the maintenance and repair of the college's physical Plant. Performs maintenance and repair of interior and exterior of buildings. Completes general trade work; Replaces and repairs ceiling tiles, lights and light fixtures, clocks, door locks; Installs whiteboards, bulletin boards and other college needed items.
Performs complex installation, maintenance or repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as water fountains, lavatories and commodes. Maintains and performs preventive maintenance on school vehicles. Rearranges and moves office furniture and performs office renovations as needed.
Operates school vehicles to deliver college related materials as needed and delivers or retrieves packages or equipment to other campuses, loads and unloads supplies and equipment at shipping & receiving dock. Works with vendors and outside contractors to obtain budgetary pricing for equipment and projects. Coordinates with vendors and outside contractors to have testing and inspections completed.
I.E. Elevator, fire alarm, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, plumbing back flow devices, etc.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Formal training or trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
