Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled journey level worker which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship training in a trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses in a trade at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Duties Description Operational needs:

  • Perform a variety of skilled labor activities in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

  • Ability to climb ladders

  • Ability to work in areas of heat and cold, inside and out.

  • Experience in appliance installation

  • Ability to trouble shoot heating and cooling equipment

  • Experience in repairing door locks, set up for door installations, and repair faulty hardware.

  • Ability to accept and give verbal and written communication to staff while providing service and repairs involving building / equipment maintenance

  • Computer knowledge of programs and work-order system

  • Possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's License appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.

  • Knowledge of underground sprinkler systems or ability to learn

  • Ability to us a variety of equipment for snow removal
