The Trading Assistant reports directly to the Senior Trader and is responsible for efficient administration operations of Shanghai Office.
The role requires an understanding of financial instruments such as futures and equity derivatives, as the successful candidate will be working with experienced traders in the financial sector. Knowing how to work directly with traders and having good working relationships is essential.
What you'll be part of:
Day to day administration and support to traders-maintain a smooth working environment for the trader
Review and subsequently analyse daily reports highlighting data discrepancies, modify data as necessary based on desk requirements
Liaise with trading desk and brokers
Prepare pricing models
Under direct supervision of a trader will be responsible for changing market prices and executing trades
Trade capture and reporting
Reconciliation of positions market value between prime brokers and desk
Generate daily Profit and Loss reports
What we're looking for
Strong computer skills
Thorough mastery of Excel
Python experience a plus
Financial markets experience
Knowledge of Equities and futures (ETF experience preferred)
Knowledge of trade booking and settlement process
Excellent knowledge of Corporate Actions
Knowledge / experience in Asian markets preferred
Experinace with Bloomberg
