As a member of the SEI Wealth Platform, US Operations, the Trade Settlement analyst role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive delivery schedule. The Trade Settlement team monitors and processes daily trade settlement activity for Traditional Assets and trade activity of depository eligible securities for SPTC's back-office clients.

Position Description:

  • Basic processing and/or service activities specific to team function

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and entering client information and transactions into multiple systems

  • Setting up securities, general account level maintenance, and some level of client contact.

  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

  • Working on special projects as needed.

  • Perform research & analysis of root cause conditions.

  • Implement solutions as assigned.

  • Interact effectively with multiple operational processing teams.

  • Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, quality and privacy.

  • Manage a time-sensitive delivery schedule.

  • Managing incoming and outgoing transactions for daily net settlement with Depositories / Custodians

  • Daily reconciliation of trade activity between the back-office and custody databases.

  • Daily review and timely resolution of DDA and position reconcilement exceptions

  • Identify and resolve pre-settlement trade matching exceptions

  • Other duties as assigned

  • The ability to demonstrate effective communication skills to clients, service partners, and internal teams both in written and verbal communication.

  • Effectively coordinate, manage and complete multiple duties and assignments concurrently and within acceptable timelines.

  • Provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external clients and service partners, responding timely and professionally to client inquiries as well as handle problems

  • Must be able and willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team, in an open floor environment

  • Must be detail oriented

Position Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience required. Preference in: Accounting, Finance

The Trade Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assisting the staff with the daily functions of the Trade Capture Team. The individual must supervise the Operations Analysts and enforce the policies and procedures put in place by management. The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following: Record investment advisors security trades in a timely manner Process investment advisor cancellation or corrections Review security audit report and address any exceptions in a timely manner Archive daily trading activity and any attached documentation Assist with any audit trade related requests Follow team policies and procedures Strictly adhere to other established departmental processing procedures and controls Monitor failed trades and exceptions that are flagged Communicate daily workflow to other internal teams Ensure other teams are notified in a timely manner of all investment advisor trading activity Research and resolve errors on a timely basis (with documentation) Understand, practice and enforce department policies and procedures Oversee the daily functions and professional development of the Fund Accountant Monitor and enforce standards set for the Fund Accountant Be actively involved in staff development on an ongoing basis Write and discuss employees' performance appraisals Contribute to the idea generation process regarding new processes, controls and technologies Assist in rolling out and enforcing new technologies and departmental policies Participate in group and departmental projects Assume a leadership role in meeting departmental goals Ensure a high level of client service Identify potential problems and formulate possible solutions to them Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues Position Requirements BS/BA degree in business, finance or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience Minimum of 2 years experience in Financial Services Industry; working with Fund Accounting a plus Excellent verbal and written communications skills Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to perform in a fast –paced environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines Knowledge and expertise of the SunGard Invest One Enterprise system, CARS, FundCenter Spectra/OLE, Bloomberg, TEAM, and NASDAQ/MFQS a plus Experience with conversions and de-conversions a plus "Non- '40 Act" Accounting experience a plus (non-daily valuations, multiple custodians, custom reporting, Stable Value/Unitized Stock funds, etc.) Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
