Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmaceutical manufacturer contracts and relationships

  • Maintain daily relationship with distributors; monitors supplier performance and performs quarterly business reviews

  • Identify and track the status of limited distribution products (pending, new and existing) and works with PerformSpecialty's Executive Director and the product manufacturers to source availability

  • Work closely with the Finance team to forecast and trend manufacturer price increase activities and manages inventories levels to minimize impact to gross margin; tracks and reports results

  • Monitor and resolve pharmaceutical supplier performance issues to ensure they meet performance standards outlined in the Agreements

  • Negotiate, manage and implement all of the pharmaceutical supplier contracts, including ongoing administration and control of any issues surrounding contract pricing and performance

  • Negotiate, manage, implement, and monitor fee-for-service agreements; report monthly financial results to Finance team. Invoice manufacturers per Agreements for fee for service activities.

  • Work with Data Analytics team to design reports outlined in fee-for-service Agreements and monitor the submission of the reports

  • Work closely with Pharmacy Operations department on issues arising from Pharmaceutical Supply Chain disruptions

  • Analyze operational procedures, financial pricing strategies and profitability of existing and proposed rebate and payer contracts

  • Review and assess the business potential of all programs related to corporate accounts including marketing programs, trade shows, conventions, seminars, grants, and sponsorships

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

  • Minimum five (5) years of current/recent trade relations experience with specialty pharmacy, as well as relationship management required

  • Experience with drug sourcing, marketing and/or sales, contracting and pharmaceutical program management required
