The Trade Relations Director role is a highly visible, internal and client-facing opportunity responsible for driving strategies to minimize client drug spend. You will provide clients with strategic insights around their drug trend, and manage a team of Executive Advisors in running client deliverables and developing new strategies.
You will work with multiple customer market segments (i.e. Commercial, Managed Medicaid, Med D, Exchange formularies), establish relationships both internally and externally, and articulate potential management strategies with a deep understanding of the rebate contracts that support them. You will assist CVS Health in working with clients to meeting financial management goals, including client rebate guarantees. This is an excellent opportunity with exposure to high profile clients and senior executives; and a chance to create positive relationships.
Additional Responsibilies Include:
Identifying and leading strategic initiatives, including working in a cross functional team environment and dedicatedly addressing systemic challenges across the Trade Relations Client Support team.
Management of Executive Advisor cross-client workload planning, issue resolution and capability development
Understanding of trade rebate contracts and the opportunities created for clients based on their own unique characteristics
Modeling and scenario analysis for all Trade Relations therapeutic areas; understanding and anticipating benefit design evolution and potential impact on financials.
Working within the Trade Relations department to persuasively and effectively educate external clients about potential issues and opportunities.
Directing the creation and execution of optimal client presentation strategies and processes for target markets (i.e. Commercial, Medicare, etc.).
Executing quantitative and qualitative research to develop and test value proposition scenarios and messages.
Effective communicator able to engage many top clients of CVS Health and also work with internal teams.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare, managed care, health plans, or PBM with a focus on financial strategy and client relations.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Minimum 8years experience with pharmacy benefit management, health plans rebates, drug spend and/or formulary strategies.
MBA or Pharmacist Licensure.
Management consultant experience.
