WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Trade Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in managing brand strategic priorities and initiatives aimed at driving high growth within the wholesale channel. This position entails overseeing activations for both online and brick and mortar retail outlets for both existing and prospective domestic and international retail accounts.

We are seeking a highly adaptable, results-driven professional who is deeply passionate about the beauty industry and excels in a dynamic, test-and-learn work environment. The ideal candidate possesses a profound understanding of hair care, demonstrated experience within the wholesale channel (preferably with a focus on Sephora), and a genuine affinity for Vegamour's brand positioning. Key qualities for success in this role include strategic thinking, exceptional multitasking abilities, and precise organizational skills. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork and relationship-building skills, fostering connections both internally and externally.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Global Sales, this individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Education, Operations, Creative and our Field Sales Team. This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles (hybrid, 2-3 days per week in-office).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing and executing the comprehensive year-over-year marketing calendar tailored to different customer segments. This involves orchestrating launch initiatives, core business drivers, promotional plans, exclusive product offerings, sampling, gratis, in-store merchandising, eventing, omni activations, reviews, loyalty programs, and more, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Sales Function:

  • Organize all Vegamour and retailer activations on a side by side (by region).

  • Optimize brand's discoverability, engagement and conversion across the retail ecommerce ecosystem through content, assets, search, purchase experience and ratings & reviews leveraging brand dotcom insights.

  • Work closely with the performance marketing team on all brand-driven and co-op paid media opportunities driving to retailer dotcom and share-out the results and learnings.

  • Manage retailer logistics for entire brand assortment and promotions including forecasting, item set-up, product page creation (copy & assets) and social activations.

  • Track competitive exposures and activations, sharing market trends with the team

  • Create market decks and organize all seasonal meetings in partnership with cross functional teams.

  • Submit, manage and track all retailer-specific omni-channel digital, social and B&M visual merchandising creative requests, ensuring timely development and delivery.

  • Responsible for all B&M visual merchandising updates including calendarization, creative briefs, internal/ external routing & communication and timely delivery of final assets.

  • Partner with retail sales team and Sephora education team to plan and execute in store sales events.

Marketing Function:

  • Work closely with the sales account management team and retailer marketing teams to deliver robust, innovative, on brand and high quality launches and activation programs.

  • Partner with retail marketing team and sales account management teams to build out sampling + set/kit strategies across all global retail partnerships 12-24 months out

  • Track marketing investment budget and spend, activations, promotional activity and ROI, sharing out on a regular basis to drive fact-based, forward looking business decisions.

  • Actively participate in monthly product strategic meetings with cross-functional teams.

  • Assist in building multi-channel strategy in partnership with sales and marketing across all channels of distribution, inclusive of NPD and kits.

  • Attend marketing meetings on behalf of sales and share cross functional updates between the two teams.

  • Own and update global marketing calendar across all channels of distribution.

  • Own and update master pricing.

  • Conduct monthly product performance meetings to guide business decisions across all channels of distribution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in trade, brand or product marketing, preferably with experience in haircare, global wholesale and Sephora.

  • Experience working at innovative, fast-paced startups or indie/digital brands, specifically in the clean/wellness sector is a strong asset.

  • Proficiency in numerical analysis, strong analytical skills, and expertise in Excel to synthesize data for informed recommendations.

  • Excellent communication skills, natural leadership qualities, and effective teamwork capabilities.

  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and processes, taking ownership of projects and driving others to meet deadlines.

  • Agility and multi-tasking capabilities, adept at managing complexity and problem-solving on the fly.

  • Adaptability, resourcefulness, forward-thinking mindset, and self-motivation to organize and set priorities.

  • Exceptional presentation skills, proficiency with PowerPoint (Keynote a plus).

  • Strong work ethic, high integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Proficiency in computer skills including Google Workplace or Microsoft Office Tools

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base Salary Range: $80K - $105K. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors including qualifications for the role and experience.
