Trade & Logistics Senior Consultant

Open to Location: This position can reside anywhere in the US.

The Trade & Logistics Senior Consultant primary role is to provide pre-sales assistance to Enterprise Level Dynamics AX/D365F&O prospect opportunities that includes a technical overview, Business Intelligence (BI) demo or discussion, personalization, customization, integration and data conversion visioning.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the project through to completion

  • Assist the client map the software to their needs

  • Configure the software, help test and train customer

  • Ensure technical consistency of all solution components within the total solution being delivered to a prospective customer

  • Maintain Dynamics AX/D365F&O and demo servers for the other Industry Solution Architects

  • Assist Pre-Sales with technical demos, discussions, etc.

  • Ensure that the highest level of quality is being maintained with regard to technical specifications and version controls, development code, integrations, and data migrations

  • Create detailed technical specifications, inclusive of estimates

  • Create new prospect customizations

  • Perform other related duties as required

Credentials & Experience

  • Degree in Information Technology or significant IT coursework or relevant experience and a Business degree desired

  • Minimum 6 years of experience working with Dynamics AX/D365F&O in development and infrastructure and SQLServer related tasks

  • 6+ years of experience in IT industry with ERP

  • 3-5 years of Trade & Logistic experience

  • Azure experience a plus

  • Prior experience managing a small group of individuals desired

  • Fluency in English is mandatory (both written and oral)

  • Strong technical demonstration skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as strong interpersonal skills to professionally represent Columbus are a must

  • Business intelligence skills a plus

  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems

  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision

  • Willing to work overtime as needed and as requested

  • Willing to travel occasionally 10-30%

  • Willing to work flexible hours, periodically, in order to coordinate as necessary with international staff Ability to understand, communicate, and interpret client business processes and requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative organization and atmosphere

  • Organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands

  • Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation - including business and system requirements, process diagrams, and detailed data requirements

  • Effective time management skills

  • Fluent in English - written and verbal

  • Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to effective and efficient business processes

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with little supervision
