Purpose
This role will serve as the lead for all touchpoints internally and with broker/distributors. The successful candidate will enable outstanding brand and local marketing activities in market by driving at scale national program deployment.
Will focus on key market-level levers such as national brand programming, strategic account programming, point of sale, VAP, and sampling (where legal). The role will provide leadership, support, communication & coordination at the local level to ensure alignment of activity to help drive the business for key customers via strategic brand initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Find opportunities for our brands to show up effectively locally with consumers (e.g., festivals, concerts)
Develop Sampling strategy and work with Business Development to execute
Encourage, influence and advise the Diageo and Broker/Distributor sales teams in market on the brand strategies, investments, resources, and activities to deploy
Serve as communication liaison between internal and external partners
Lead all market activity including but not limited to point of sale, value added packs, sampling events, customer digital excellence, shopper programming
Ensure Diageo's brands show up in market in a way that is consistent with the brands purpose, target audience and tone
Partner with Business Development team to ensure Key Performance Indicators success in local market
Drive exceptional and best in class execution of programs and platforms to deliver market share growth
Perform budgetary and administrative tasks as needed to support division leadership
ABOUT YOU
Preferred Experience, Skills and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree and proven successful experience in Commercial or Marketing
Strong project management skills
Strong attention to detail, great communication and interpersonal skills
Understand current go to market strategy and be passionate about the future/evolution of local activation
Strong interpersonal skills with experience working across a matrixed organization with multiple partners
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must have strong influencing and negotiation skills
Strong ability to establish relationships and influence decision making internally and at local key customers
Successful experience in financial and budget management
