The Trackmobile Operator is job classification CRE Operator, Trackmobile and is assigned to 1st shift and paid $25.24 per hour. Health and welfare benefits begin on date of hire.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Inspect couplings, and handbrakes to ensure that they are securely fastened and functioning properly.

  • Receive oral / written instructions from the P&L group indicating track assigmnents and cars to be switched.

  • Raise levers to couple and uncouple cars for makeup and breakup of train & cars.

  • Pull or push track switches to reroute cars.

  • Signal Trackmobile Operator to start or stop trains when coupling or uncoupling cars, using hand signals, or radio communication.

  • Observe signals from other crewmembers so that work activities can be coordinated.

  • Climb ladders to the tops of cars to set brakes.

  • Ability to operate the Trackmobile.

  • Maintain all switches, derails & inspect tracks.

  • Watch for and relay traffic signals to start and stop cars during any movement of cars

  • Make certain the Trackmobile is maintained & serviced according to schedule & conducting a daily check list.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

  • Able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed.

  • Must be able to proficiently verbally communicate, read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and quality training and processes.

  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.

  • Need to have the capability to work in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with other colleagues.

  • Need to be capable of working in varying climates and environment.

  • Must hold a valid driver's license

  • Performs work in a manner that is in compliance with all policies and GMP rules.

  • Reports any conditions that may put product quality at risk.

  • Performs work in a safety conscious manner that is in compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • Reports any conditions that pose a safety risk to personnel and/or property.

  • All other duties as assigned.
