Job Title: Track Worker/Equipment Operator

Location: Various Locations in Central Florida

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary:

As a Track Worker/Equipment Operator at Road & Rail Services, you will work as a vital member of a crew responsible for installing new railroad track and maintaining existing track and right-of-way. This role requires a commitment to safety, teamwork, and excellence in railroad track maintenance.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations.

• Participate actively in team meetings, job briefings, and safety meetings.

• Remove and replace track and components such as ties, rails, bars, etc.

• Cut rails to specific lengths as needed.

• Adjust, lift, and roll rails.

• Sort track material for loading and unloading.

• Perform vegetation clearance from the right-of-way.

• Spray switches, angle bars, and joints with oil for lubrication.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED

• 18 years of age or older

• Valid Driver's License

Railroad Track Maintenance Experience preferred.

Basic Competencies:

• Verbal comprehension

• Communication skills

• Reasoning skills

• Basic Math

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally

• Physical agility: stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and occasional climbing.

• Auditory and visual acuity required.

Environmental Conditions:

Work outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally at elevated heights.
