Position Description: Our coaches support the district mission by:

  • Coaching and developing athletes in the throwing events for the Track and Field team at the High School

  • Assisting the head coach throughout the season

  • Helping run the home Middle School and High School track meets

Terms of Employment:

  • March 3, 2025 - May 16, 2025; must be available weekdays 3:30-6:00 p.m. for practices. Track meets are held on various days with a few Saturdays as well

  • Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense

  • A valid CPR/First Aid card is required prior to the first day of coaching

Salary Range: $2,783 - $3,874/Season depending on experience

Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees and their qualified dependents may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employer-paid long-term disability, life, and AD&D insurance are available for the employee only. Optional benefits under SEBB include, supplemental life, long-term disability, FSA, and DCAP.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Experience as a track athlete in throwing events (shot put, javelin, and/or discus)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coaching the throwing events at the High School level or beyond
