Third Party Risk Management is a global cross-functional initiative, inclusive of all Business Units and Legal Entities. The program requires significant involvement from the first line of defense (business) with on-going monitoring of their third parties activities to the second line of defense providing governance and oversight accordingly. There are regulatory requirements related to continuous monitoring and ongoing oversight of a Business Unit's Vendor population. Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) sets forth the requirement for business units within State Street to assess the risk management functions associated with outsourcing business activities by implementing controls to mitigate risks associated with the product(s) and/or service(s). State Street's usage of third party providers is an integral part of maintaining a competitive edge within our industry. These relationships can present various types of inherent risk that require management and monitoring throughout the lifecycle of the engagement(s)


  • Provide data maintenance, SOP documentation enhancements, data mapping for lineage and overall architecture. Multi-channel changes received from BU stakeholders that will need to be evaluated, normalized and validated with BU stakeholders.

  • Support the daily development and maintenance of TPRM operational data as well as the daily creation and maintenance of TPRM issue data.

  • Support business as usual data analytics and reporting for monthly Business Risk Committee reporting and TPRM program executive reporting.

  • Responding to and taking action on email requests in a timely manner

  • Identifying and proposing recommendations to resolve business identified issues, ensuring that the recommendation is well-documented and communicated to the appropriate parties

  • Performing of various daily tasks to support processing routines

  • Interacting within TPRM and the business units if applicable, to resolve discrepancies

  • Self-review of deliverables for first pass accuracy and presenting results and findings as needed

  • Participates in or manages function specific projects as needed

  • Collects information and analytical needs from management to determine analysis approach

  • Prepares reports and presentations packages

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA degree/candidate

  • 2-5 years of work experience

  • Experience with data management and analysis or

  • Experience with governance reporting and issue management or

  • Experience with risk management functions or

Experience with supply chain, vendor management

Skills / Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)

  • Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools

  • Strong analytical skill set and decision making abilities

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Results oriented ownership mindset with the ability to drive results within the Business
