Works with Third Party Administrators (TPAs), business partners and business stakeholders across the company.


  • Works independently with minimal direction

  • Monitors financial and nonfinancial TPA transactions to ensure accurate reporting on monthly service performance reports and audit requirements

  • Provide oversight, training and assistance to TPA Specialists

  • Handles Monthly Service Calls with TPAs

  • Researches and responds to general requests and inquiries from internal stakeholders, TPAs, agents & some policyowners about products, processes, policy information, within required turnaround times

  • Conducts research to identify root causes of service issues and errors, monitor trends, identify recurring issues, and determine appropriate corrective action to prevent future occurrences at TPAS

  • Review test results of system changes/process improvements at TPAs & approve move to production, suggest changes to system when needed

  • Assists in the development and documentation of internal/external processes, policies & procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 4 + years of insurance experience required

  • Understanding of life and annuities

  • Skilled at creative thinking, decision analysis, problem solving, and systems thinking

  • Ability to demonstrate experience in identifying, researching, quantifying and developing logical and creative solutions to problems

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Leadership & management skills

  • Skilled at managing and addressing conflict

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office suite

  • Builds and fosters relationships with key contacts throughout the organization

  • Works effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Works effectively with outside consultants and vendors

  • Able to influence without formal authority

Primary Responsibilities: * Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team of entry and intermediate level finance employees. * Provides analysis of financial and / or budget operations to monitor the financial performance of the organization. * Manages ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. * Provides technical expertise on financial matters to functional or operational area managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets and understand financial reports and analysis. * Manages major responsibilities across multiple finance disciplines on a regular basis. * Performs finance activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline. * Includes CFOs. * May also include professional employees required to perform activities across several disciplines at smaller sites.
