The general role of a Tower Technician I
This individual will represent Pillar Innovations in a safe, professional, and courteous manner. This position will require a flexible schedule which may include extensive travel, extended hours, weekends, and holidays. The Tower Technician I will report to the Construction Manager

Wireless Services and will work primarily out of their assigned location.

Pillar Innovations is now accepting applications for a Wireless Services Tower Technician I.
What You'll Do
Build customer infrastructure, such as tower erection, expansion, and upgrades to new and existing wireless networks (e.g., tower modifications, L&A (Line and Antenna installs))
Learn to read and understand site documents such as construction drawings, radio frequency data sheets, structural analyses, mount analyses, tower modification design drawings, etc.
Safely and efficiently complete equipment installations and upgrades at elevated heights
Learn to identify, troubleshoot, and correct equipment and network functionality
Observe and report possible defects or hazards in equipment and work site
Document job costs, including labor hours and material in an accurate and timely manner
Accurately follow instructions and complete assigned course of action in accordance with scope of work and methods of procedures (MOPs)
Complete physical material inventory upon delivery
Perform pre-work and post-work site audits
Execute rigging plans

What You'll Bring
0- 1 year of experience climbing towers or work in elevated conditions
Valid Driver's License required
Ability to successfully obtain certifications such as: Authorized Climber, Authorized Rescuer, ANSI A10.48 Rigging Certification, Capstan Operations, RF Awareness, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR
Ability and attitude to follow rigid job safety standards and properly utilize specialized Personal Protective Equipment
Willingness to climb communication towers, and work for extended periods at 300' +, for the purpose of installing, repairing, constructing, and maintaining various communication systems
Willingness to take on and learn new tasks and skills
Ability to work effectively as an individual or a member of a team
Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English is required
Working Conditions
Walk, crawl or kneel / use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders, stairs, or other elevated/ fixed structures for extended periods of time
Sit/stand for extended periods of time
Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations
Wear safety equipment: as per OSHA/MSHA/ANSI requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, required PPE for elevated work, fire retardant clothing, protective eye wear, etc.
Be safety and customer-focused, without exception
