Job Responsibilities:

As a Tower Crew Manager, you will manage daily operations of self-performing installation staff, while they are engaged in the construction, installation, and in-service testing of all project-related Telecom communications systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the project staff through infrastructure design, procurement, build, and testing of all the affected communication networks associated with the project being managed.

Tower Crew Manager Responsibilities:

  • Serving as jobsite representative for the carrier

  • Providing coordination and input as needed with utility companies providing services and infrastructure for the project, including schedule and cost management

  • Developing initial project specific cost estimates and taking lead responsibility with the budgetary management of the various cost components of the project

  • Monitoring and ensuring schedule performance and quality workmanship of tower climbers

  • Reviewing change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions, and other contract documentation as required on behalf of the carrier's interests

  • Attending local meetings, approval meetings, and conferences on behalf of the carrier documenting and taking action on items in the carrier's interests

  • Maintaining relationships and acting as the carrier's liaison in matters associated with Federal, State, and Municipal matters, including the City's permitting and inspection requirements

  • Reviewing tenant leases and requirements as it pertains to the carrier's obligations, ensuring the carrier meets the requirements while controlling project cost

  • Coordinating with tenant's design and construction personnel to ensure accuracy in the owner's development of tenant's documents

  • Serving as an information resource by coordinating tenant's work, participating in meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, and coordinating project punch list and close-out.

Job Requirements

Tower Crew Manager Requirements:

  • Related bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Managemen

  • 3 years of directly related leadership experience with construction background general contractor experience, preferred

  • Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills

Previous site management experience as well as experience maintaining a good relationship with the client and suppliers

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities * Oversee the daily operations at assigned sites. * Maintain daily paperwork required for the site and the crew. * Implement and follow through with job instructions provided by leadership. * Ensure safety and quality control requirements at your sites and with your crew. * Compile all site-specific closeout documentation for your work effort. * Upload closeout documentation to customer interfaces. * Coordinate with customer representative for site related activities and maintain a good working relationship with customer representative. * Provide leadership, guidance and actively train / promote learning to all crew members. * Maintain equipment and vehicles in an operational condition at all times. * Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Skills and Experience * At least 5 years of industry experience. * Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge. * Job related certifications * First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR and Connector attachment * Organizational, computer and communication skills. * Must be able to read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings and SOW. * Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with company motor vehicle policy. * If applicable, the ability to maintain FDOT log books * Training will be provided * Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency. * Ability to lead, teach and train proper work and safety procedures. * Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork (Excel, Word etc) * Must be fit and in good physical condition * Must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and be cable of working up to 12 hours on occasion. Additional Information * Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions. * Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively. * Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.
