Jack Morton's Princeton team seeks a temporary, seasonal Tour Manager for May-October, 2018. In this role, you'll manage and execute Jack Morton'smobile marketing experience to promote New York State attractions and destinations to consumers at events in the Northeast. You'll act as the onsite lead and working closely with the Jack Morton production team and our client to ensure seamless deliveryduring the tour duration.
New York State residents with experience in theupstate market are preferred but not required (there will be formal training onthe state and its assets before the tour starts).
Pre-event training begins the first week of May 2018 and leads into a 5-month tour (end of May to Middle of October), starting on theweek leading up to Memorial Day weekend.
Hoursof operation are TBD may be as much as 6-day work week. Tour manager isexpected to be on call at all times, even during days off.
Additionally, the Tour Manager will be eligible for per diem, expense reimbursement, and accommodation coverage.
Set-Up/TearDown & Travel:
TourManager travels in the tour vehicle with the POD and crew throughout New YorkState and surrounding areas for the entire tour. i.e. don't go home on theweekends.
Superviseand participate in setup and tear-down of event sites, need to be able to liftapprox. 50lbs.
Runthrough all talking points to ensure messaging is on point.
Cleanfootprint area (sweep, pick up garbage, etc.) if applicable.
Makesure all details are taken care of before event begins.
Executeevents according to the schedule and standards set
Communicateregularly with Jack Morton regarding daily event status and general touroperations
Serveas the primary contact for venues and staff
Meetand greet consumers upon arrival and answer any questions they may have
Activelyengage with consumers upon arrival to the footprint area encourage them toengage with the different activations within the pod.
Anticipatechallenges onsite and implement solutions
Manageand monitor performance of tour staff
Delegateresponsibilities to the Assistant Tour Manger
Bookaccommodations for team and manage overall accommodations budget
Timelycompletion of expense reports/receipts inventory after each event
Responsiblefor tracking all onsite expenses and submitting expense reports in a timelymanner
Spearheadsafety inspections and adherence to OSHA standards
Manageand oversee tour vehicle maintenance (including regular generator service, tirechecks and weekly trailer washing, etc.), security and record-keeping
Previous Tour Manager/Road Show Manager experience required
Mustbe properly licensed, qualified and trained to drive with no criminal recordand a clean driving record. The Contractor will, at a minimum conduct reviewsof driving records to ensure the preceding qualifications are met. The severityof any past traffic violations and/or accidents will be reviewed on acase-by-case basis. Drivers failing to meet these qualifications may notperform services under this contract.
Must consent to criminal backgroundcheck, driver's license background check, initial and random drug testing. Hiring and employment subject to results and ongoing review.
Ability to handle multiple overlapping tasks and adhere to strict deadlines

Strong customer service skills, with theobjective of providing high quality and responsive service to the public.
Travel mid-May through mid-October
Valid driver's license/ valid passport(ability to travel to Canada)
Ability to lift 50lbs
Comfortable working with / troubleshootingtechnology
Familiarity with New York State tourismattractions a plus
