Amazon is seeking to add a tour guide to our fulfillment center public tour program in Robbinsville, NJ to open the doors to highlight the great people who work with amazing technology to make sure our customer orders are delivered. We are looking for an individual with strong personal skills and attention to detail to provide fun and engaging fulfillment center tours in the local community.

The Amazon Tour Leader likes meeting new people, is enthusiastic and outgoing, has high energy and can answer questions in a fun and thoughtful way.

The Tour Leader will support our Fulfillment Center Customer Experience, providing a world-class Fulfillment Center Tour program. The Tour Leader will work closely with a Community Specialist in a fast-paced organization to deliver Fulfillment Center tours to the public on a daily basis. This candidate will have excellent organizational skills, work effectively with internal and external stakeholders; General Manager's, operators, vendors, the Public Relations teams, to drive efficient and well run tours. This person will also possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice and enjoy the challenges of helping to build great experiences for our Amazon customers.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the fulfillment center tours program in Robbinsville, NJ Fulfillment Center

  • Take a lead role delivering messaging about Amazon with both internal partners and external audiences;

  • Coordinate fulfillment center tours; billing/payment, shipping etc.

  • Ability to identify creative approaches to enhance tour logistics

  • Maintain a calendar of tours within the Fulfillment Center

  • Make process recommendations to achieve operational excellence

  • Identify issues and escalate as appropriate

  • Contribute knowledge, and promote a knowledge-sharing culture

  • Tracking tour activities and providing status in a weekly report to manager

  • Identify opportunities for improving customer experience

  • Be prepared to host up to 3 tours a day lasting approx. 60 minutes. Each tour is approx. 5000 steps.

  • Be able to answer questions spontaneously

Proven ability, willingness, and desire to

  • Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes;

  • Speak and present to large groups of stakeholders;

  • Walk frequently in the building area, have the ability to stand, talk and walk for up to eight hours/day

  • Think and communicate clearly the ability to formulate a clear point of view and answer real time questions from our guests

  • Demonstrate good judgement both in tour giving and in day to day operations

  • Work hard and smart

  • Can work autonomously while getting daily tasks done, is a self starter and knows when to ask for help

  • Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it's outside the scope of the job; and

  • Pay painstaking attention to important details.

The Wireline Operations Controls Center (OCC) provides provisioning, maintenance and dispatch support to the Retail, Wholesale and Enterprise business customer base and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We provide support for every product level from POTS service to Optical Carrier Systems. As part of the operations center team you will be a part of a very high paced and customer focused work environment. This position is for a Supervisor in the NJ MCO/OCO center in Robbinsville, NJ. The candidate must have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop a team in providing excellent customer service for all customer bases. Must demonstrate ability to adapt quickly and embrace change. Responsibilities include a combination of the following: manage a team of direct reports in a unionized environment, oversee network technicians utilizing remote test systems, applying fault isolation techniques and standard diagnostic procedures to isolate and resolve equipment and circuit problems;maintenance functions, ensure proper test and isolation processes are being used by center technicians, monitor daily work and assign work accordingly, administer absence plan as needed, conduct monthly quality and safety reviews, time reporting, weekend and out of hours management tour assignments on rotating basis. Ensure accountability to supplier organizations in order to meet service objectives. Work with the union to resolve grievances and/or workplace issues and create a positive working environment. Provide detailed technical information, summarize and log the results/findings of each activity, escalate as needed to supplier organizations, and issue reports. Requirements also include weekend duty, on call, and extended hours as required. Candidate must be willing to work holidays and weekends as needed. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Four or more years of relevant work experience. * Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary. Even better if you have: * A degree. * Demonstrated strong background in MCO/OCO maintenance. * Experience with special service circuit maintenance/upkeep. * Management/supervisory experience in a union environment. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in installation and maintenance. * Experience in reading and interpreting circuit design info and WFA logs. * Previous experience supervising union employees. Experience and understanding of CWA Contract, labor relations and grievance process. * Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision, make sound recommendations and decisions that have direct impact on the corporate and organization objectives. * Candidate should possess superior communication skills, be well organized and able to motivate employees to exceed objectives. * Strong PC skills - Excel, Outlook, MS Word, etc. * Experience interfacing with various supplier groups and working with teams. * Experience with the following Verizon Systems: TIRKS, vRepair, WFA-C, Avaya ACD. * Familiarity with both Analog & Digital technologies (DS0, DS1, DS3).
