In a collaborative and results oriented team environment, the Total Rewards Coordinator must be a superstar at implementing and administering group benefit/compensation programs, ensuring the College is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role is extremely important as it will be an integral partner in continuing to evolve a total rewards strategy that enhances employee engagement. Additionally, this position works directly with the Human Resources Director in developing, implementing and evaluating HR policies, programs, functions, and activities, with a focus that is strategic and innovative. Highlights of responsibilities include:
Passionate support for the mission and vision of Concordia College.
Engaged coordination and administration of employee salary and benefit programs.
Providing comprehensive benefit information and counseling to employees and supervisors to support informed decision making.
Prepare and execute benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies.
Manage and administer FMLA and other leave programs.
Serves as Wellness Team co-leader and Retirement Plan Oversight Committee member.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, plus three years related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Passionate about people and proven success in providing "best-in-class" service to constituents.
Savvy technological skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and related programs.
Ability to learn and apply technology in a quick manner, to streamline routine work and enhance the value of the end user experience.
Avid seeker of knowledge and information.
Ability to communicate in writing, one-on-one or in group settings in a manner that instills trust and confidence.
PHR; SPHR; SHRM-PC; or SHRM-SPC.
Employee Benefits Specialist certification or similar certification.
Experience with Banner.
