JOB SUMMARY:

Thisposition supervises the operation of the Cashier/Total Rewards area for anassigned shift. This position assists inthe implementation and continuing administration of the Harrah's Total RewardProgram providing customers with information regarding program services,supervising personnel on a day-to-day basis, and by performing relatedactivities as assigned in accordance with program operations. This position directly supervises those in aCashier/Total Rewards Representative role and is also responsible for executingthe job duties of that role as needed. Alsoperforms the duties of Cashier/TR Rep when assigned.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assuresa friendly and courteous attitude among team members toward customers on anassigned shift.

  • Assistsdepartment team members in the balancing of their cash drawers at the beginningand end of their shift.

  • Responsiblefor the safeguarding of all inventory and equipment.

  • Approvescustomer check cashing/casino credit within approved limits.

  • Maintainsthe required amounts of currency, coin, and house check inventories in order tomeet all team member and customer needs.

  • Schedulesassigned Cashiers for breaks and routine work duties.

  • Effectivelyhandles guest complaints and discrepancies; assures that all guests are dealtwith in an efficient and courteous way.

  • Assistsother departments with any operational problems that pertain to the

Cashier/Total Rewards Department.

  • Assuresthat the operation of the Cashier/Total Rewards area is in accordance withestablished policies and procedures.

  • Instructsteam members in the proper performance of their duties. Prepares and conducts performance reviews andoffers continuous performance feedback on a timely basis.

  • Informsteam of pertinent information and coach whenever necessary.

  • Fullyunderstands and masters all duties of Cashiering and Total Rewards.

  • Supervisesthe day-to-day operation of Harrah's Total Rewards/Cashier Department.

  • Assistsin the development and administration of training programs for departmentpersonnel.

  • Greetsand welcomes players; explains the Harrah's Total Rewards program and providescollateral to players in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Assistsin the development and maintenance of data files on customers or prospectiveprogram members through CMS.

  • Keepsinformed on all details of Harrah's facilities and services to provide complete information in response to allinquiries.

  • Assistsin the planning and execution of player events designed to recognize and rewardselected players.

  • Completesadministrative duties in a timely manner as assigned

  • Responsiblefor the maintenance of Total Rewards Kiosk and Embossers throughout the property.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Highschool degree or equivalent.

  • Oneyear cashier and casino customer service experience required. Computer input and previous supervisoryexperience is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mustbe able to speak clearly in English to communicate with guests and other teammembers.

  • Abilityto qualify for, obtain, and maintain a Gaming License from the State of NevadaGaming Control Board.

  • Excellentcustomer relations skills.

  • Excellentwritten and communication skills in fluent English necessary.

  • Needshuman relations and interpersonal skills when interacting with team members andguests.

  • Mustbe able to lead and motivate team members.

This position is expected to promote the Total Rewards program and use our specialized training while processing transactions such as cashing checks, processing credit card advances, redeeming coupons and converting coins gaming chips into currency for gaming guests when scheduled in a Cashier position. Responsibilities when scheduled in a Supervisory position include overseeing the aforementioned transactions and ensuring that Cashier operations are running smoothly and employees are meeting service and other standards during the assigned shift.
1.Provides support and assistance to Cashier Supervisors and Cashiers.
2.Trouble shoots and solves problems that may arise during assigned shift.
3.Assists Management in overseeing the day-to-day activities during assigned shift
4.Performs Cashiering and banking activities for the property, including front line guest assistance, front money, processing of checks, markers and other cash equivalencies
5.Ensures and recommends changes that ensure a high level of customer service.
6.Adheres to compliance of all gaming regulations and any other governing agents where applicable.
7.Provides assistance to other departments where applicable
8.Verbally coaches Cashiers and apprises Supervisors/Managers of performance problems with Cashiers as required.
9.Proficient in all aspects of Cashiering.
