The role:

The Total Rewards Analyst provides administrative and project support to one or more functional areas of the Human Capital Development (HCD) Total Rewards team, including Compensation, Benefits and HRIS. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and an understanding of human resources regulations and practices.

What you will do:

Compensation

  • Assist in implementation and administration of base pay and variable pay incentive programs

  • Assist with annual compensation Merit and Short-Term Incentive (STI) review processes

  • Assist with general compensation audits

  • Conduct job evaluations and market analysis

  • Participate in compensation surveys, ensure survey matches are maintained for all job profiles and analyze market data to support the development and maintenance of pay ranges and ad hoc compensation decisions

Benefits

  • Administer benefits enrollment and termination processes, including conducting New Hire Orientation sessions.

  • Assist in all aspects of the Workday employee experience including, enrollment process, reporting and Qualified Life events to ensure programs are configured accurately.

  • Collaborate with external partners to develop Open Enrollment communications material, employee education materials, conduct training sessions on benefits and system configuration.

  • Liaise with benefits vendors, service providers and recordkeepers to ensure accurate data exchange (integrations & audits) between data systems, payroll, and external administrator systems.

  • Coordinating various aspects related to providing and maintaining transit cards.

HRIS

  • Support designated HCM functional areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits and Advanced Compensation.

  • Assist with HR system testing for Workday releases under benefits, payroll, and compensation, including testing of integrations, security, and annual events.

  • Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday.

  • Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations).

  • Support people analytics efforts.

All Functional Areas

  • Provide consultation to HR Business Partners and HR COEs in areas of Total Rewards.

  • Help develop the annual Total Rewards budget; track all expenses against the established budget and work with Finance partners to investigate variances.

  • Review and process all Total Rewards vendor invoices.

  • Participate in the development of compensation and benefits communications, including training, open enrollment presentations, compensation statements, policy documents, and other materials.

  • Assist in conducting routine compliance reporting (i.e. ACA, Pay Equity, EEO-1, H&W 5500s, 401K audits and non-discrimination testing, etc.)

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, or a related field.

  • At least 2-3 years working in an HR position; understanding of compensation and benefits, as well as experience with job analysis, market research, and data analysis preferred.

  • Working knowledge of HCM software, Workday is strongly preferred.

  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), including strong analytical skills (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas) and keen interest in analytical, data-driven problem solving.

  • Familiarity with relevant federal and state employment law and regulations (e.g. FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ADA, ACA).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills: ability to explain complex technical concepts concisely and engage with different levels of audiences (cross-functional HCD colleagues, employees, managers, senior leadership, external partners).

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
