Job Description

Supports the administration of enterprise total rewards (compensation, benefits and wellness) strategies, practices, and processes in order to attract, retain, and engage employees. Responsible for the administration of employee total rewards programs.

Partners with HR Solutions and other HR partners to provide excellent customer service in response to employee and leader inquiries. Contributes ideas, information, and collaborate in the development/design and communication/education of broad-based benefit and wellness programs that contribute to and enhance the employee experience in alignment with the broader HR and business strategy.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience to include a combination of compensation, benefits and/or wellness administration, processing, and delivering employee experience solutions. Familiarity with corporate total rewards policies and practices.

  • Specific experience in compensation program administration, including market salary survey completion and job description design, strongly preferred.

  • Effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. employees, vendors, etc.).

  • Functional experience with an HRIS (or related) system with a demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of relevant business processes and their impacts within the system; techno-functional experience (knowledge/understanding of system behaviors) preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically advanced functions (advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.) in Excel required.

  • Strong problem solving, time management and prioritization skills.

  • A minimal amount of travel is required.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Additional Information

a. Participate in the day-to-day administration of the base pay compensation structure.

Includes job descriptions management and salary survey participation and analysis. Participates in the annual base pay process, develops files, analysis of workforce data to ensure integrity of the process.

b. Responsible for administration of the annual health and welfare benefit enrollment process for active employees and retirees, including reporting and testing functions related to open enrollment process. Facilitate the benefit enrollment process during new hire orientation.

c. Responsible for processing employee benefit and wellness programs using a variety of technologies.

Work independently and with other team members to resolve issues. Includes the processing of enrollments, life event changes, and the maintenance of employee benefit and wellness records. Assist with retiree benefit administration, such as mailings, database management and responding to general inquiries.

d. Serve as a resource and partner to HR Solutions to respond to total rewards administration inquiries with timely, effective, and accurate information to stakeholders which contributes to a holistic employee experience and promotion of employee health and well-being.

Promote understanding of TR practices and tools to support decision making and continuously improve processes, tools and resources. Stakeholders include active employees, retirees, and other HR team members.

e. Interface with vendors regarding the delivery of agreed upon services and timely administration of their inquiries and/or billing process.

f. Participates in the redesign/design of total rewards programs. Assist in the assessment of defining the administrative process implications through the utilization of project management tools.

g. Participate in the development and maintenance of on-line employee communication to ensure the total rewards programs are accurately and effectively represented. Actively participate in the employee educational sessions by collaborating in the design, development, and delivery of presentation/training materials.

h. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in the creation of dashboards and related tools to assess program effectiveness.

i. Responsible for documenting and updating benefit and wellness administration processes.

j. Support other HR functions as appropriate to create the optimal Employee Experience at Wellmark.

k. Other duties as assigned.
