Job Title: TOSA - Interventions and Family Engagement (Internal Only)
Category: Elementary Teacher
Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to in struct and supervise a diverse group of children by establishing a positive, respectful learning environment, providing ample and varied learning opportunities and promoting high standards of performance for all students regardless of their background and developmental levels.
FTE: 0.5
FLSA Status: Licensed

Bilingual
Specific Duties:
Teach small reading and math interventions.
Assist with reading and math data and progress monitoring of students' growth.
Assist with small group assessments in reading and math.
Coordinate a variety of family engagement components such as family nights, volunteer opportunities, and connecting families to the school through creation of relationships and outreach.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Oregon teacher's license with appropriate endorsement and grade level authorization. Must be highly qualified or able to become highly qualified in area assigned according to NCLB laws.
Understanding of human growth and development patterns, learning theory and brain research.
Content knowledge in subject areas taught.
Familiarity with a variety of age appropriate instructional, assessment and behavior management strategies that reflect current research on best practices.
Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks for elementary grade levels.
