Job Summary

AMENTUM is currently seeking qualified Tools & Parts Attendants in support of U. S. Air Force maintenance operations at Holloman AFB NM. This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This contract consists of F-16 Block 40 aircraft Organizational level (O-level) assigned to the 49th Maintenance Group and 7th and 8th Aircraft Maintenance Units (AMU) contractor operation and Intermediate level (I-Level) to support flying training for the 49th Wing (49 WG), Air Education and Training Command (AETC) training mission at Holloman AFB (HAFB), NM.

Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in industrial establishment.

Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.

Searches for lost or misplaced tools.

Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed. Unpacks and stores new equipment.

Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using brush or spray gun.

May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tool. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Candidate also must pass an FBI fingerprint check prior to being offered employment.

Position may require rotating shift work schedules.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED.

  • Ability to read with understanding USAF publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions manuals.

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks. There are periods of prolong standing, bending and stooping.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification system which includes a 7 year background check and obtain a Security Clearance for Public Trust

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English

Position will require a Secret Security Clearance.

Candidate also must pass an FBI fingerprint check prior to being offered employment.

This contract consists of F-16 Block 40 aircraft organizational level (O-level) assigned to the 54th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (54AMXS), 8th Aircraft Maintenance Units (AMU) contractor operation and Intermediate level (I-Level) supplementing the 54th Maintenance Squadron (54 MXS) and 49 MXS to support flying training for the 56th Fighter Wing (56 FW), 54th Fighter Group (54 FG), training mission at Holloman AFB (HAFB), NM. The Production Team Lead will be the main POC for the daily operatations of the maintenance support for the Amentum Holloman Team Essential responsibilities: 1. Responsible to the Production Superintendent on shift. 2. Ensures maintenance is accomplished in accordance with established technical orders and coordinates on all aircraft maintenance actions. 3 Remains on the flightline when maintenance personnel are performing flightline maintenance and launching/recovering aircraft to controls and coordinates maintenance activities. 4. Works in conjunction with the Production Cell Expediter, SE/Quality SCA, SE/Quality member, and Out-of-Hide QA Augmentee to manage Production Team requirements. 5. Enforces safe maintenance practices. 6. Lead Shift Roll Calls, release personnel for breaks, lunch, End-of-day. 7. Coordinate and approve overtime requests. 8. Coordinate and conduct interviews for discipline as required. 9. Attends the daily/weekly/monthly maintenance planning meetings. 10. Responsible for identifying, assembling, and managing resources to include critical equipment items. 11. Ensures supply pickup for critical parts to expedite repairs if non-mission capable aircraft. 12. Monitors aircraft maintenance in progress and evaluates estimated completion time against scheduling and planning requirements. 13. Coordinates with the Weapons Expediter, ensure requirements in AFMAN 21-201 for flightline munitions accountability are strictly followed. 14. Coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. 15. Reviews work in progress or upon completion for compliance with policies and procedures. 16. Ensures utilization of proper tools and equipment and adherence to technical data in performance of maintenance. 17. Ensures aircraft status is accurately reported in accordance with Air Force instructions, reports, and applicable supplements. 18. Works closely with the expediter and MOC to ensure that actual aircraft status matches the aircraft status reported in the automated reporting system. 19. Maintains and has available for immediate use copies of the following as a minimum: Flying schedule, Emergency action and functional checklists, Base grid map with cordon overlay, IPI listings, MESL, Quick Reference List (QRL) (if developed), WUC manual, and tracking device for aircraft status. 20. Follows established Cannibalization procedures and ensure all CANNs are accurately documented in the aircraft/system forms and MIS and coordinated with MOC, Supply and approved by authorized Production Superintendent. 21. May verify Mission Capable (MICAP) requisitions. 22. Understands, executes, and coordinates specific disaster control duties with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flightline personnel. Decisions will be made based on safeguarding personnel first, followed by protecting aircraft, equipment, and other resources.
