About the Role: We are looking for a Tooling Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support Gore Medical manufacturing and R&D operations for tooling repair and maintenance.

This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with tooling inspection to develop processes to support the removal, repair/calibration and return of tooling to manufacturing

  • Inspect tooling\parts\ to meet manufacturing specifications while following approved standard operating procedures (SOP's)

  • Work closely with engineering on inspection related issues

  • Work with cross functional teams to maximize schedule efficiency, striving to meet deadlines to minimize manufacturing down times and help with new product development initiatives

  • Coordinate and communicate work activities with alternating teams

  • Ensure applicable quality system requirements are being met and document inspection records in quality system software (EAM)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-pace manufacturing environment

  • Experience with office-based applications and EAM/ BMRAM quality system/asset management or equivalent

  • Experience using measuring and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.)

  • Experience utilizing standard operating procedures (SOP's)

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment utilizing effective oral & written communication skills

  • Mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand for extended durations

  • Ability to provide coverage on alternate shifts or work over time as needed

  • Travel 5%, if applicable within Gore plants

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency reading and understand technical documentation/drawings

  • Previous experience in a fabrication shop

  • Ability to train others and modify training to accommodate learning preferences
