MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The primary responsibility will be to disassemble molds and take provided information (written/verbal) to troubleshoot and complete the assigned tasks. This can include repairing, engineering changes, and other aspects of mold repair or modification. This position will analyze specifications, prints/models, and use the appropriate machine shop tools to complete the tasks. There is a heavy emphasis on shop mathematics, use of manual and limited CNC tool room equipment such as Lathe, Mill, Form Grinding, and measurement equipment.

4.Ability to read and understand blueprints.
5.MUST have experience to dress and form grinding wheels and grind tolerances of .0005 in.
6.MUST know how to use and read micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other measuring equipment.
7.Willing to learn new skills and processes, as well as, sharing skills and knowledge with others.
8.MUST understand machine shop mathematics.
9.MUST understand machine shop equipment, operation, and tool & die maintenance and repair.
Works closely with all molding personnel in the facility as well as all engineers, molding technicians, to improve mold part quality, mold efficiencies, and address assembly problems due to molded parts quality.
Works with mold repair on design issues such as wear and other maintenance problems. This can involve redesign of component parts and mold function.
Works closely with all tool room personnel to assist improving operation.
Contributes to new product design, process optimization, scale-up, technology transfer, and process validation activities.
Operates milling machine, surface grinder, lathe, and other small machines.
Corresponds with Design Group for instructions on mold function and special details to build the mold accurately, as well as, troubleshooting and revisions of molds.
Inspects damaged molds to determine solutions for repairs.
Man machines as needed to fulfil production needs and customer requirements.
Other duties as assigned needed to help drive our Vision, Mission, and Values.
Must be 18 years of age
2+ years of Tool and Die Maker or Machinist experience
3+ years Thermo Plastic Injection Molding manufacturing experience desired
Education through Apprenticeship, Vocational Program, or Technical College preferred
Experience in Injection Molding, Basic CNC Machining, EDM Operation, and Tool and Die Repair preferred
Ability to work independently
Ability to work as a team
Clean Room setting
