Tooling Expeditor

Overview

Joby Aviation is searching for a motivated candidate for the Tooling Expediter role. The successful candidate will support the Tooling teams. As a Tooling Expediter, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, tooling, design, manufacturing, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit extreme ownership for monitoring and communicating the location and status of all tools in-fabrication throughout production facilities

• Order, track, organize and kit tooling BOMs

• Author tooling work instructions, and ensure that tool travelers are completed

• Create tooling NCR's and work with the tooling team, and quality, to disposition them

• Proactively work with Production Planners to identify tool shortages

• Own the logistic of shipping tools and hardware to suppliers

• Design production carts, workbench, storage shelves, and other tooling solutions

• Responsible for running several small 3D printers

• Author new training guides and update outdated content on Confluence

• Author and update standard operating procedures

Required

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

• Ability to perform well in high volume/fast paced environment

• High level of organizational skills required

• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines

• Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted

Desired

• 2+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator or Expeditor or in an administrative support staff position (ideally in an engineering department) or similar role

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $22-$30/hour.
