SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This position assists in the organization, cleaning, set up and teardown of equipment and ordering supplies for the Extrusion Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
Ensures that chemicals used in manufacturing are of the expected purity level and meet all requirements in the appropriate MPS and/or PPS documents, and those that do not are immediately segregated and removed from all manufacturing areas.
Ensure that necessary tools, fixtures, equipment, labware and disposables for preparing all machines, coating and cleanroom support chemical solutions are maintained at the appropriate level and are clean and uncontaminated.
Prepares machines and coating chemical solutions and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is properly executed and maintained.
Ensures that there are adequate levels of all necessary chemicals and disposables to avoid production back orders.
Implements chemical handling best practices and leads chemical safety within the area.
Receives technical advice from engineers or supervisor for complex problems.
Performs other related duties and tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
As recommended by Occupational Physician at pre-employment medical.
SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education equivalent to HS Diploma.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Qualification as a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) would be an advantage.
PC skills including standard offices packages.
Ability to work well as a team member.
Proactive with excellent planning and organizational skills.
Detail oriented and reliable.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Test specimen preparation/general equipment operation.
Good working knowledge of medical device materials and processes.
Demonstrate organisational values (Customer First, Achieving Excellence, Developing People, Flexibility and Integrity) in carrying out of all assigned responsibilities/tasks.
