Our position of Tool Room Attendant is located in Panama City, Florida.

Tool Room Attendantprimary functions will be general tool room duties including; issuing, receiving, marking and/or bar coding of tools, and delivering tools to the production area. Responsible for cleaning/maintaining/organizing stored tools and the cleanup of tool room area. Responsible for investigating and searching for missing tools from the tool room. Attendant will research/determine which tools need to be ordered, identify tool suppliers, and repair tools for the prototype shops. Responsible for inventorying tools in the tool room and preparing inventory reports for the supervisor. Responsible for preparing monthly tool room status reports for the supervisor. Monitor Hazardous Waste and Environmental requirements. Store all

Hazardous Material (HAZMAT)accordingly.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

  • The contractor shall be licensed and certified in accordance with state law and NSWC PC regulations or instructions related to safety.

  • Relevant civil service equivalent skills may be found in the GS-5 305 series or WG-6 5703 series.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an INTERIM Public Trust security clearance.

  • General hand tools knowledge of Machining, Welding, Rigging and machine shop functions.

  • General office environment. The physical demands of the job require light, manual work, lifting and loading of 75 lbs minimum. Also general office skills and tasks Microsoft Office Suite tasks inventory control, and the operation of a motor vehicle, Fork lift, Category 3 Crane certification.

This position makes equipment recommendations and ensures that units are maintained. Technicians work in both our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In a store, technicians will be expected to provide service to store customers in Tool Rental which includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking to make sure tool is operating properly and demonstrating its proper use (as needed). In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are also responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians will ensure units are repaired, tested for the quality of the repair and cleaned prior to returning to the store where the repair originated.
