Tool Maker – Plastics – Base Salary to 45.00/hour – Paramus, NJ

• Our client is a leading automotive manufacturer. They are a global company and rapidly growing.
• The Tool Maker will be closely involved in tool room activities. This will be a hands-on role involved in building, repairing, and maintaining molds and providing guidance on tooling issues throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate milling, lathe, surface grinders, and basic machine shop equipment.
• Building and repairing molds.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and CAM/CAM files to determine mold specifications.
• Lead the preventative maintenance program for manual and automatic equipment.
• Utilize CAD software for mold design.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing molds.
• Troubleshoot mold and die issues in the shop and in current production.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years toolmaking/mold making experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of CAD/CAM software experience.
• Experienced using Proto TRAK milling machine.
• 5+ years of CRM software experience.
• Ability to use 3 D files to program CNC machines.
• Mold maker or tool maker journeyman certification (or equivalent).

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 40.00 – 45.00/hour range
