We continue to have an aggressive growth plan, operating 20 manufacturing facilities that are strategically located near its customers in 7 states.

We are looking for a Tool & Die Repair/1st shift person to join our MEC Team!

In accordance with policies, controls and directives, organize and assign work to utilize skills, knowledge and experience, available man-hours, machines and tools to obtain the most favorable cost and quality of workmanship.

Work schedule is 4 - 10 hr. days, Mon. - Thurs. and overtime scheduled as needed Fri./Sat.

Responsibilities

Perform the layout of die and tool parts and sections, machines set-ups and operations to involve the improvising of tools and machines for usual operations, the bench assembly and finishing operations required to fit, align, adjust, calibrate and finish project assignments.

Analyze and diagnose machining and tooling problems, machine malfunctions and expedite and coordinate corrective procedures to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.

Police the use of safety devices and equipment, general housekeeping, and maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices, Maintain conformance with rules and regulations.

Responsible for the precession accuracy of tools and timely completion of projects.

Perform critical bench operations to construct and finish projects to involve polishing, fitting, aligning, timing, and calibrating mechanism.

Train and assist apprentice.

Work from complicated drawings, sketches, handbook, formulas, and specifications.

Use scale, squares, calipers, micrometers, verniers, indicators, precisions, blocks, sine bars, parallels, etc., to lay out work, make set-ups, operate machines and check work.

Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent

Completion of Tool and Die Repair Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Must be able to do repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, and reaching

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Decision making and problem solving skills.
