Tool Crib Attendant - 1St Shift

Starting Pay: $21.50 or more depending on experience!

Shift: 1st

This position is responsible for maintaining adequate material supply for plant equipment, buildings and operations.

Responsibilities

• Supplies materials and parts to mechanics and plant operations personnel.

• Records parts used and price of parts on work orders, performing data entry of material goods issued in SAP and data recording on paper material slips.

• Receives incoming materials utilizing data entry and ensuring a 3-way match between materials ordered, shipped and received. Places incoming freight orders in the designated areas of the Parts Room and Stock Room and ensure all parts received and issued are bar coded correctly.

• Creates production orders for rebuild or fabrication items to include but not limited to pumps, gearboxes, valves and motors.

• Maintains inventory accuracy through inventory records and performing cycle counts as assigned. Processes rebuild or fabrication daily assignment sheets for labor data entry, material goods issues, material PO goods receipts, production order confirmation and goods receipts including settlement.

• Maintains and tracks all consignment parts inventory and conducts cycle counts.

• Executes material searches based off limited information.

• Processes and tracks all invoices for accounting.

• Inventories and issues specialized controlled tools to mechanics, signs out and ensures the tools are returned to the parts cage prior to the end of their shift.

• Ensures all out-going freight meets all state, federal and international guidelines along with all required documented paperwork.

• Notifies lead/supervisor of inventory issues or ordering problems. Keeps Parts Room and Stock Room clean. May make occasional trips to pick up parts, supplies, etc.

• Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Years of Related Experience: 2-4 years of related experience required in inventory control, issues and receiving.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Knowledge in the different types and sizes of bearings, hydraulic pumps, valves, V- belts, conveyor belting, shafts, electric motors and gear boxes. The ability to use specialized tools, calipers, tape measures and micrometers. Basic math skills. Forklift license required. Ability to operate a 2,000LB capacity hoist. Satisfactory job history. Must have the strength to lift one hundred (100) pounds. Some knowledge of engine and assorted parts used on our equipment. Some knowledge of tools used by mechanics.
