Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to work in the Columbus, OH area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
This is a 2nd shift position at this time.

Making various automotive dies including large tools for inner and exterior body parts
Will work with class-A surface, trim dies, deep draw dies, flange, and re-striking
Must be able to read blueprints
Hand-grinding and spotting

3+ years of prior Tool and Die Making experience
Hands on experience in a machining environment
Basic math skills and good attention to detail
Journeyman Card is preferred but not required

VIEW JOBS 10/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-09T00:00 Position Summary Supports product development and manufacturing by constructing and repairing dies; machining parts; and making prototypes. This will be a 2nd shift position and will be Monday through Thursday (4:30PM - 3:00AM). Responsibilities 20% of the time you will: Machines parts by using lathe, mill, drill press, surface grinder, CNC mills, and other typical shop equipment. 20% of the time you will: Die repair - reconstruction and restoration damaged dies 15% of the time you will: Die maintenance - cleaning, inspection, preventative maintenance 10% of the time you will: Develops die function and structure by studying prints of die, product, and prototypes; applying knowledge of material under stress, machining and assembly methods, and mathematics. Selecting, dressing, setting up, and using grinding wheels for surface grinding, and form grinding. Hand grinding, polishing and belting finished die components. 10% of the time you will: Confirms assembly by verifying dimensions, clearances, and alignment of parts and components with micrometers, thickness gauges, gauge blocks, dial indicators, etc. Confirms performance of die by installing die; checking clearances; inspecting operation of die; making adjustments; comparing finished product to specifications. 10% of the time you will: Resolves assembly problems by altering assembly to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. 10% of the time you will: Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. 5% of the time you will: Operate forklift and overhead crane Qualifications * Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred * Journeyman's Card preferred * 7-10 years progressive dies and tools * Manufacturing process knowledge: Demonstrates a basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. * Safety: Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment. * Customer service skills: Applies customer service principles and processes on the job and with others. Work Status & Location This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, Ohio. Relocation Relocation will not be considered for this position.
