The Ohio Department of Health supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside within a reasonable distance to their assigned headquarters for compliance with workplace reporting requirements.
Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 12, Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule ($29.49 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($31.15) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
What You'll Do:
Acts for administrator regarding matters pertaining to the local tobacco use prevention and control subgrant program.
Serves as liaison between administrator and program staff.
Represents administrator at meetings and conferences, and assumes responsibility and authority in administrator's absence.
Formulates and implements tobacco subgrant program policy.
Oversees and manages grants.
Develops subgrant program guidance and resources.
Analyzes and evaluates programs, procedures and policies.
Provides input to supervisor to aid in the development of goals and objectives for the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Program.
Prepares and makes presentations for stakeholders.
Researches and responds to inquiries and complaints from subgrantees.
Furnishes information and explains program to public, legislators and news media.
Manages business function of administrator's office.
Prepares and administers budgets for subgrant program.
Establishes and oversees maintenance of fiscal controls.
