GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Work within the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Program for the Wyoming Military Department In Accordance With (IAW) Army National Guard's (ARNG) established uniform guidelines, standards, criteria, metrics, processes, and procedures related to the electronic security of ARNG assets, property, and personnel. Repair/maintain three (3) primary ESS enterprise components (Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)) as well as ancillary devices (cameras, remote power management, intercom, and access control card readers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Maintain and repair IDS system in AA&E vaults, secure open storage areas, and secure closed storage areas. Understand system equipment installation, operation, and maintenance.
Ensure adequate spare parts, tools, and supplies are available to meet service requirements. Ensure ARNG-approved-authorized equipment and/or DIACAP-certified systems are applied to ESS requirements and Schedule and track semi-annual ESS preventive maintenance requirements and work order system that will sustain an audit.
Maintain Maintenance Log Records, of all serviced Intrusion Detection Systems (to include preventive semi-annual and emergency maintenance calls); Access Control Systems; and Closed-Circuit Television.
Attend required ARNG-IES ESS IDS Certification Training, Supervisor-Lead Technician Course, Advance (ACS and CCTV) Courses, and ESS standardized equipment manufacturer training as required.
Provide technical recommendations and analysis input, into State CFMO MILCON projects, to ensure adequate ESS infrastructure and requirements are included in MILCON 1390/91 documents and in conjunction with ARNG-IES ESS Program Process 6.0 specifications.
Monitor and track program progress, identifying any risks or issues and taking appropriate actions to mitigate them.
Obtain / Maintain Certifications: Maintain Low Voltage license. Maintain and repair IDS in AA&E vaults, secure open storage areas, and secure closed storage areas. Complete OSHA 10 training and harness / tie-off training.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference will be given to an applicant with a low voltage license, OSHA 10 training, and a working knowledge of DoD regulations and/or programs.
Required to obtain/maintain a valid Driver's License
Required to obtain/maintain Federal Security Clearance
Required to obtain/maintain NGB alarm certification
KNOWLEDGE:
High proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
Knowledge of electronics
Understand system equipment installation, operation, and maintenance (Alarm systems, Access Control, CCTV)
Ability to troubleshoot systems using equipment/device wiring and block diagrams.
Ability to identify basic system and electronic components.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Technical Operations) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Technical Operations Technician I
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Some agencies may require a valid class C driver's license.
OR
Education & ExperienceSubstitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Technical Operations) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Technical Operations Technician I

Some agencies may require a valid class C driver's license.
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
May work in extreme weather and involve heavy lifting
May work at heights of 40 feet and below out of a bucket or lift truck.
Occasional Travel
