As a member for Quality Assurance (QA) team you will provide direction and guidance to Contractors and Government entities (Aircraft Program Offices) on QA performance, specification, and compliance throughout the development cycle, the acquisition process, and the evaluation process of technical publications. Conduct In-process reviews (IPRs), validations, and verifications of Electronic and paper Technical Manuals (TM/ETM), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) as well as providing Adequacy Reviews on Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Manuals for specification compliance, while assisting NAVAIR leadership in establishing and/or updating QA instructions and procedures to ensure QA compliance standardization is achieved across Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE).
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Assist the Quality Control Program to ensure continuous service delivery that is consistent and in compliance with the established performance per policy Government standards.
Serves as a member of the quality control team of NAVAIR and commercial off the shelf Technical Publication
Develop standardized testing methods that facilitate the quality checking process based on contract requirements/standards;
Present results to the Project Manager with recommended actions to correct any deficiencies to ensure all standards are continually being met; reports directly to the appropriate Program Director;
Interacts with the customer verbally and in writing on matters of concern and performance deficiencies; presents plan for corrective action.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Security Clearance REQUIRED. Must already possess and be able to maintain, at minimum a SECRET Security Clearance.
Must have Technical Publication experience.
Must have effective written/oral communications and interpersonal skills.
Must maintain abreast of the latest technology and recommend tools and processes to increase efficiencies.
Must be able solve quality related problems.
Must possess sound knowledge of QA function within the organization.
Must possess good organizational and planning skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Prior Military experience in QA of Technical Publication is a plus.
