The Treasury Management Consultant is responsible for providing treasury management sales support to Relationship Managers and Business Bankers as they bring in new deposit relationships and generate direct sales of treasury management services. This position is responsible for marketing treasury management products and services as well as ancillary products and services such as Merchant Services, Purchase Card, etc. The incumbent will provide consultative support to Relationship Managers and Business Bankers in order to develop sales and aggressively increase deposit relationships and the use of treasury management products and services for the designated customer and prospect base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates sales efforts with Relationship Managers, Business Bankers and team members in order to assist with acquiring new business and strengthening existing client relationships;

  • Conduct prospect needs analysis and develop proposed service solutions/sales presentations to develop new business opportunities with organizations to make efficient use of cash.

  • Partners with Relationship Managers to develop new Cash Management sales opportunities for existing customers through a consultative sales approach.

  • Conduct customer needs analysis and develop proposed service solutions/sales presentations to develop new business opportunities with organizations to make efficient use of cash.

  • Meet with existing business clients to expand relationships and to ensure proper servicing of clients.

  • Meet regularly with Relationship Business Bankers to identify opportunities and provide information on products, services and unique applications.

  • Provide consultative training to ensure an understanding of the Bank's product offerings, and communicate product changes and enhancements.

  • Provide detailed sales reports to management on a weekly, and monthly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of treasury management related experience

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) designation preferred

Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses. The Wholesale Control (WC) organization serves as the front line risk management organization within the Wholesale Banking group of Wells Fargo supporting the Wholesale businesses with risk strategy, implementation, and execution. The Wholesale Control team is accountable to assess and effectively manage risks across all risk types and Wholesale businesses delivering an integrated view of risks, producing a sustainable control environment, and instilling a culture of strong risk management. The team is responsible to identify and assess risks, design and implement controls, and execute and monitor the controls to ensure they are working effectively to manage risk across Wholesale. Wholesale Control interfaces with Independent Risk Management and Audit to drive comprehensive and consistent implementation of regulatory and corporate risk policies and programs across Wholesale. The Wholesale Control organization is comprised of a series of risk and control teams including: (1) Business Control teams managing risk and controls for each of the Wholesale businesses; (2) Risk Operations teams managing risk-type programs (e.g. regulatory, financial crimes, operational risk, conduct) and associated controls and operations; (3) Governance & Programs teams managing cross-functional risk and controls (e.g. governance and reporting, issue management and review activities, enterprise risk programs, control assurance, etc.) spanning across risk-type programs and Wholesale businesses; (4) Functional teams supporting business enablement and infrastructure (e.g. strategic planning, process excellence, transformation, analytics, reporting and administration). The Wholesale Control organization has an opportunity for a seasoned risk professional to join the Wholesale Transformation Control team. This role is responsible for ensuring the Wholesale Transformation efforts deliver successfully on their strategic objectives while ensuring that we build a robust and effective risk and control environment in the target state. This role will support the Wholesale Transformation Control leads and collaborate with program/project managers, risk and compliance leaders and subject matter experts, and well as LOB partners to minimize execution risks, design effective controls, and ensure adoption through business readiness and change management efforts. Successful candidates will be able to articulate the vision of Wholesale Transformation and possess leadership and partnership skills necessary to achieve the vision. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex and dynamic environment and the ability to build bridges between program/project teams and the risk community. Specific Responsibilities: * Implement and participate in the development of Wholesale Transformation Control team's strategy, approach, and support of risk partner coverage and engagement model * Engage with project teams throughout projects' life-cycles to identify risks, design controls, and to ensure appropriate engagement, input, and oversight from other risk domain partners * Facilitate the development and coordination of risk management, regulatory and control requirements, including development of KRIs, in partnership with Wholesale Program Management, risk partners, and LOB control teams * Partner closely with control leaders, project sponsors, program management, Front Line control, Independent Risk Management, Legal, and audit groups to ensure controls, oversight, and governance are established and implemented appropriately and effectively in the target state * Partner with and support stakeholders to ensure adoption and sustainability of control execution in the target state through business readiness and change management activities * Provide input to consistent, concise and risk-centric status updates to keep risk partners informed on Wholesale Transformation related strategy, approach, activities and statuses Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture, which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
