Certificated TK/Kindergarten Teacher We are seeking a teacher who can bring warmth, a nurturing presence, and commitment to a collaborative work environment. One (or two) full-time position/s is offered with a competitive salary. Who We Are: Shade Canyon School is a new public charter school using the principles of Public Waldorf education and located in beautiful Kelseyville, California. The school opened in September 2023 on a leased site, currently under development, with grades TK-2. We will add one grade per year up to Grade 8. Our expected enrollment for the 2024-25 school year is 75 students in grades TK through third. Summary of Position: Shade Canyon School in Kelseyville, California is accepting applications for a morning kindergarten teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Our kindergartens are mixed-age classrooms creating a 2-year kindergarten program common to Waldorf schools. Each kindergarten has an adult teacher's assistant. Our whole-child curriculum is based on the integration of practical and artistic activities, imaginative play, and embedded state standards for literacy and math through storytelling, drama, poetry, singing, cooking, and outdoor activities. This kindergarten teacher will be a founding faculty member, helping to shape Shade Canyon's early childhood program. Bachelor's Degree CA State Teaching Credential and/or Waldorf teaching certificate
