The Senior Marketing Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision making across our marketing and web product teams. This role will partner with stakeholders to define measurement strategies, develop reporting & provide recommendations to continually enhance business performance. In addition, this role will create a culture of testing by hypothesizing, implementing & measuring cross-channel testing. The ideal candidate enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders to leverage a modern data stack to turn large datasets into actionable insights.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain data sets/ETL structures (Snowflake and BigQuery) and reports using Data Studio

  • Perform ad hoc analyses of both marketing and web performance using Snowflake and BigQuery

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement a cross-channel testing roadmap

  • Partner with the business to make use of predictive models in both web and marketing

  • Maintain data governance on data warehouses

  • Create documentation around data engineering processes (ERD, data maps, data dictionaries)

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative or computer science field

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in creating/using data visualizations to tell a narrative

  • Experience with data engineering

  • Familiarity with data architecture (preferred)

  • Familiarity with modeling techniques (preferred)

  • Familiarity with media/ad effectiveness measurement and tools (preferred)

  • Familiarity with web analytics measurement (preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in coding
  • SQL
  • R or Python experience is a bonus

  • Experience with data visualization platforms

  • Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with data warehouses
  • Snowflake, BigQuery, etc. (preferred)
  • Experience working with Cloud ETL tools
  • FiveTran, Stitch, Conversionomics, etc. (preferred)
  • Experience working with web and marketing technologies including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc. (preferred)

Job Experience

  • 3+ years experience in a data engineering or similar role

  • Experience in a quantitative data driven field, media, or equivalent coursework/academic projects

  • Hands on experience mining large datasetsin the context of marketing and/or web engagement

  • Experience putting together and presenting data-focused decks

The Operations Analyst is responsible for Influencing and sometimes leading analytical studies and fulfills complex information requests. They will determine optimum methodology for retrieving and analyzing current and historical data. The Analyst will develop complex financial and statistical-based models to analyze business performance trends and insight into operational effectiveness and efficiency.</p><p>This position will provide consulting to operational leadership on trend analysis, process performance, output and results in an effort to influence improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs). Business metrics analyzed will include (but is not limited to), efficiency, capacity, quality and performance scorecard measures. Accountable for timeshare project cost tracking, budget analysis, month end analysis and variance reporting for the global budgets and monthly forecasting. This position will consult leadership to communicate observed trends and provide recommendations for improvement; assist in the production of statistical files and reports, and at times will liaison with other internal departments on problem mitigation issues. The Analyst may also have coordination responsibilities to work with external vendors. The candidate for this position must have good data analytics skills and strong consultative. All other duties as assigned based on business needs.</p><p>Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><p>Analyze: Create a visual representation of the story and present that information back to the customer in a manner in which it can be understood. Customers range from Legal Managers to Legal senior leadership. Understand both the data and the requirements with enough clarity to identify trends and any data that deviated from expectations. Operational decisions are made based on the results and the Analysts findings. Examples include changes in processes, redirection of resources, and changes in strategy. Knowledge and comprehension of Wyndham Vacation Ownership's source data tables and Brio/OBIEE necessary. Meet with process owners and Operations leadership to build requirements, construct and vet the data to ensure we can meet reporting expectations, pull and organize the data for clarity, and identify whether a) the process can meet expectations b) is meeting expectations c) is capable of meeting expectations and d) provide options and suggestions on next steps. Receive information regarding bonds that have fallen below the acceptable threshold and review the information, review bond activity and make a decision on whether or not we should raise the bond coverage. Bond coverage exists by law and exceeding bond coverage could affect our ability to sell in that jurisdiction.</p></li><li><p>Development: Primarily responsible for developing new reporting and interpretation of new data based on customer needs for WVO's Legal Services Organization using various business intelligence tools. Develop data models (using Brio/OBIEE/Excel/Dashboards/Metrics/KPI's, etc), starting from identifying and defining success with the process leaders, building requirements, constructing the tool in a user friendly interface, and following through implementation.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate: Meeting with customers, defining success, gathering requirements, building models to suite customer needs, reviewing results with leadership and presentation back to customer to meet there needs. Partner with business on new initiatives like new systems, system enhancements, metric/dashboard development and KPI development. This responsibility may involve initiatives with frequent meetings and with detailed work and actions items. Must be able document work and report out on progress to all stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Operational: Project cost analysis of individual projects for all timeshare brands and global budget analysis and variance reporting. Responsible for monthly forecasting of the global budget as required by Wyndham Vacation Ownership. The Global budget consists of those Legal expenses that support our ability to make and maintain sales. The ability to compare actual spend to projected spend and reforecast those expenses over time is required.
