Job Title: Sr. Release Manager
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 12+ Months

Software Release Manager:

Lead the day to day work for Salesforce, SharePoint, ServiceNow, web & mobile development releases
Become the process owner for all the releases to PROD
Identify gaps in the release management process and work with different teams to refine & implement the process
Keeping release documentation in ServiceNow up to date and create new documentation
Hold teams accountable for release milestones and tollgates. Engage and escalate to senior management when necessary.
Identify risks and proactively work with teams to mitigate them.
Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Development, QA, and Operation teams to successfully deploy items to production
Experience with Agile development is a big plus.

3-4 years project/release management experience required
Experience with short release cycles and rapid customer response
Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Day-to-Day Release Train Engineer The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is the "Chief Scrum Master" for the train - one who facilitates program level processes and program execution, escalates impediments, manages risk, and helps drive program-level continuous improvements. The RTE should have a solid understanding of Lean Agile including the unique opportunities and challenges associated with organizing, facilitating and continuously aligning the train with the guiding business strategy. Description: * Is part of the estimation, planning, and delivery for train related activities * Works with Product Management, Product Owners, and Business Owners to help assure strategy and execution alignment * Responsible for Train/Program level processes and program execution * Facilitates release planning readiness: vision, backlogs, and facilities * Facilitates release planning events and readiness * Facilitates scrum of scrums * Tracks program increment feature through completion * Drives Train level or program-level continuous improvement via inspect and adapt workshops and constant demonstration of Kaizen mind * Helps manage risk and dependencies * Escalates impediments and risks * Facilitates System Demo of value to major stakeholders * Provides input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks * Encourages team and program level quality practices and communities of practice around SAFe, Scrum, and Lean Agile program management * Participates in enterprise program management improvement and standardization activities * Listens and supports teams in problem-identification and decision-making. Requirements: * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience; * Generally more than 10 years related experience with 5 years in Lean Agile Leadership role. * In-depth knowledge of Agile Frameworks, Delivery Optimization, and Lean Agile Leadership * Agile Scrum Master experience 3-5 years, SAFe experience preferred and RTE experience is a plus * Experience working in distributed model * Tools experience: Rally or CA Agile Central, CA PPM, Microsoft Project Server or Project Pro * Ability to promote a team environment consisting of several teams * Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills * Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills Desired Skills and Experience: * Normally receives little instruction on work assignments. Works both independently and collaboratively with many agile teams and other parties. Must be able to influence stakeholders. * Facilitates system demo of delivered functionality at regular intervals to major stakeholders and business owners * Demonstrates and grows best practices * Delivery commitments are met consistently and aligned with targeted program outcomes * Relationships within agile teams, and with cross-functional teams are highly engaged and collaborative.
