Title: Occupancy Space Planner

The Occupancy Planner for the Global Real Estate Facilities and Safety (GRFS) team is a crucial role for optimizing workspace efficiency and promoting well-being. This position requires a combination of analytical, communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will support the development of innovations, best practices, and standard operating procedures. They will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Bio-Rad's global space management system in real-time. This role is instrumental in maintaining information and workflow processes, enabling effective decision-making for global real estate strategy.

How You'll Make An Impact:

OCCUPANCY & SPACE PLANNING:

• Engage with internal end users to develop solutions for respective workspace and workflows.

• Lead workshops and work to support occupancy, space, and scenario planning.

• Document business requirements and translate them to occupancy planning and scenario plans to maximize safety, efficiency, and foster innovation.

• Interface with workplace managers at all levels for gathering and validating headcount growth projections and all programmatic space requirements. Translating this into test fit layouts via CAD or IWMS and socialize for approval.

• Responsible for building re-stacks, move planning, seat blocking, seat assignments, and spatial data in IWMS - Serraview.

• Manage space requests and relocation planning, working closely with project managers and internal customers.

• Develop and execute project planning activities, the timing of group moves/relocations, migration and phasing plans, stack and block plans, and final relocation ensuring smooth, organized transitions on each project.

• Create reporting to effectively communicate occupancy/ vacancy ratios, headcount projections, and workplace conditions.

MOVE PLANNING:

• Manage relationships with our Move Manager.

• Liaise between business units to create aligned block plans and seat assignments prior to move execution.

• Effectively communicate Move plan to stakeholders and effectively transition to the Move Manager.

PLANNING & CAPITAL PROJECTS:

• Partner with execution teams to plan and scope projects accurately and in line with business requirements/programmatic needs.

• Provide input and review of conceptual, schematic, and design development plans, and construction documents for consistency with our design playbook. Input required for architecture, interiors, furniture, transition planning, and closeout.

What You Bring:

• Education: BA or BS Degree (or equivalent experience).

• Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in operations/space planning management.

• Experience Working with IWMS systems is required and Serraview is preferred.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.

• Demonstrated organizational skills, process improvement, and ability to multi-task.

• Superior communication skills.

• Team-oriented and able to lead activities with minimal supervision.

• Strong skills required in Space Planning.

• MS Excel and PowerBI skills beneficial.

• General awareness of building codes, regulations, and workplace design trends

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $91,500 to $125,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
