Job Summary:
This position will engage in performance management and collaborative monitoring activities to ensure grantees are accessing and expending Title IV-A and related program grant resources in accordance with all applicable requirements and are leveraging resources effectively and efficiently to meet local needs and improve local capacities to support student learning outcomes. This position will also support the implementation and evaluation of Title IV-A programs of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), as well as related well-rounded areas such as: Arts Education; Gifted Education; Advanced Placement Programs; well-rounded education programs, to include supporting the effective use of technology; college and career readiness programs, to include the new state College Credit by Examination program.
Occasional in-state and rare out-of-state travel is required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
Job Duties:
Review grant applications to ensure programmatic and fiscal compliance for each Local Education Agency (LEA) assigned to his/her caseload.
Responsible for reviewing and approving LEA Integrated Action Plans (LIAPs) and School Comprehensive Needs Assessment CNA), Root Cause Analyses (RCA_ and Integrated Action Plans (SIAPs) and fiscal grant applications to ensure that grant funds are necessary, reasonable and allocable in accordance with all ESSA program requirements, and that all expenditures are aligned to local CNA, RCA and Integrated Action Plans (IAPs)
Engage in performance management and collaborative monitoring fiscal and programmatic activities to ensure grantees are accessing and expending Title 1-A, Title I-D, Subpart 2, Title II-A, Title IV-A, Title V-B grant resources in accordance with federal and state applicable statutes and programmatic requirements, and that LEAs and Schools are leveraging resources effectively and efficiently to meet local needs and improve local capacities to support student learning outcomes
Develop and provide professional learning and technical assistance opportunities through face to face and virtual methods in collaboration with unit leadership, personnel, other ADE program areas, and/or external partners to assist LEAs with the completion of required Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA), development of LEA and School Integrated Actions Plans (IAP) and completion of fiscal grant applications for the Consolidated Application
Assist in preparing and completing of administrative and monitoring reports
Collaborate and build supportive relationships with other sections within ADE and external stakeholders to coordinate technical assistance, professional development, and monitoring and alignment of resources for LEAs and schools to close the achievement gaps and increase student achievement

Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), particularly relating to Title IV, Part A, and Arizona Revised Statutes and State Board of Education rules governing public education

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Education and/or Public Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree is required.

Selective Preferences:
Preference will be given to those applicants with:
Three or more years of combined professional experience related to PK-12 education-preferably with Title I programs
Experience delivering technical assistance and professional learning in the design, implementation, and evaluation of accelerated, enriched, and well-rounded educational programs and services
Experience managing federal or state grants, to include fiscal and programmatic management and reporting

Retirement:
